Join a Mastermind Group!

A Mastermind group is a group of peers who meet to give each other advice and support. It’s similar to mentoring, but with some differences. First, it will have 6 to 8 members, instead of being a one-on-one meeting. In a mastermind group, you will both give and receive advice, while in a mentorship, you’ll typically be on the receiving end.

Mastermind groups can also involve brainstorming, educational presentations and even discussing personal issues. There is no single teacher with a prepared lesson – Mastermind is not group coaching. In reality, a good Mastermind group is a “meeting of the minds” – it is a place where you can speak the truth and expect it in return.

A quality mastermind group provides you with a peer community who will elevate your life. You’ll be around other driven people who will energize and inspire you to go after your goals. Mastermind groups may also share business contacts and provide recommendations and references – a big help whether you’ve been in business for awhile or just starting out.

A quality mastermind group will bring brainstorming to the table, providing differing perspectives on your challenge.

A Mastermind group is a resource you can tap into for support, advice and celebration. They represent a supportive community who celebrates your successes, acknowledges failures and grows through them. Mastermind groups encourage you to achieve your goals.

Mastermind Peer Groups

Business owners are creative, hard-working, and extremely busy. There’s not a lot of extra time so we’re not always connecting with other business leaders and influencing each others’ growth and success. How do we find time to set goals – and reach them! – while running all of the day-to-day aspects of our business?

The Mastermind group will meet at a time that doesn’t interfere with your busy work schedule and will allow you to leverage the experience and talents of other business owners like yourself. It is a peer mentoring group that involves and expects input and advice from each member of the group.

How does it work?

Our Mastermind groups meet once a month for 1.5 hours before regular business hours. It will be comprised of no more than 8 business owners and the first meeting will be focused on major goals you’re seeking to achieve in your business. The meetings that follow will involve sharing about your successes and areas where you need more input from your group, and being held accountable in future meetings for acting on the input and advice from previous meetings. The group will meet for 7 months (for 6 members) or 9 months (for 8 members).

All meetings will take place in the Idea Space conference room located at 1525 S Forest Rd (2nd Floor of Citizens State Bank building) in Freeport. The fee to participate is a flat rate of $40 which covers a continental breakfast at each session.
